The tour is called “Eat & Walk” for a reason – you should be ready for walking!
The distance is approx. 2.5km/1mile on a mostly downhill route.
There are steps in Santorini and paths are mostly paved with pebbles, so comfortable walking shows are important. We don’t mean hiking boots, but sport shoes or any closed toe shoes with a firm sole will make the tour more enjoyable. (Leave your flipflops for the beach!)
There are about 300 sunny days per year in Santorini, so be prepared! Sunscreen, hat, loose & comfortable clothing, sunglasses will help you deal with the bright sunshine and summer temperatures and we will provide a bottle of water at the beginning of tour.
Greek cuisine embraces vegetables, so vegetarians will feel like at home and won’t go hungry during the tour!
If you have an allergy or specific dietary requirements, please contact us prior to booking the tour.
We will consider each case individually – there are certain changes that can be made to accommodate special requirements, but we believe, that authenticity should be preserved and too many changes would defeat the purpose of the tour.
Several of the stops include a taste of local alcoholic beverages – wine, beer, raki, as it is a big part of Greek cuisine.
You can choose not to consume these and there will be non-alcoholic options available as well, but please keep in mind, that we will not be able to offer any price reductions if you choose not to try some of the offered food & drink samples.
We love children, but this tour does not have a lot of entertainment value for little ones.
Children of 12 years and older are welcome to participate in the Eat & Walk Santorini Food tour and everyone is considered a full paying participant.
All participants of the Beer & Walk tour must be at least 18 years old.
The legal drinking age in Greece is 18 year old!
Of course!
However, there will have to be at least two people for the tour to take place.
So we will confirm your reservation and contact you to reschedule or refund in a timely manner in the unlikely case that no one else books for the day of your choice.
Just press the BOOK NOW button and follow directions, or send us a quick email (with hyperlink, please!) and we will get back to you with availability (we won’t be late, we promise!) and confirm your reservation as soon as payment is received.
As said, there are more than 300 sunny days a year in Santorini, so bad weather in summer is extremely rare. If you are lucky enough to experience rain in Santorini, embrace it – most likely it won’t be holding us back! That said, most of our collaborators run their businesses outdoors and remain closed if it is raining or extremely windy. If we deem that it is impossible to provide a quality tour because of the weather, we will contact you as soon as possible to reschedule or make other arrangements! We will always provide a full refund if a tour is cancelled because of weather and rescheduling is not possible.
If your plans change and you need to cancel your reservation – we won’t keep any cancellation fees if you cancel up to 14 days before the tour date and you will receive a full refund. Any later than that and we will refund 50% of the total cost, but if you cancel less than 24hrs before the tour or don’t show up, full price will be considered as cancellation fees.
